Discharge requirements of storage battery

There are certain requirements for the charging and discharging of Yuasa battery. Especially in the harsh working environment, the temperature control is more strict. When the ambient temperature is higher than 25 ℃, the battery capacity of UPS power supply is higher than the rated capacity. Yuasa  detailed introduction to the battery manufacturer is as follows:

When the ambient temperature is lower than 25 ℃, the battery capacity is lower than the rated capacity. The capacity changes with the change of temperature. The maintenance personnel must carefully adjust the discharge current of the battery according to the change of actual temperature, and control the temperature of the battery to keep it within the range of 22 ℃ ~ 35 ℃. High temperature service environment is the main reason why the actual service life of battery can not reach the design service life.

Every time the temperature of Yuasa  battery rises by 10 ℃, the acceptance of charging current under constant voltage will double, and the service life of Yuasa  battery will be shortened by the increase of total accumulated electric quantity of overcharge. The basic requirements for the operation and maintenance of Yuasa  battery are: to make the battery always in a fully charged state without overcharging, more than 80% of the rated capacity shall be discharged when supplying power to the load alone.
