How to deal with battery bulging and blasting?

If the air vent on the charging cover is blocked or not dredged, the gas will accumulate gradually when the charging time is too long or the charging voltage is too high, and then the pressure in the battery shell will increase, which will eventually lead to the battery bulging.
Reasons for battery bulging
1. Airway obstruction
If the air vent on the charging cover is blocked or not dredged, the gas will accumulate gradually when the charging time is too long or the charging voltage is too high, and then the pressure in the battery shell will increase, which will eventually lead to the battery bulging.
2. Long charging time
As mentioned above, when the charging current of the battery is too large or the charging time is too long, a lot of gases will occur. In addition, too much current or too long charging time will also lead to the rapid progress of electrolyte temperature, which also simply leads to battery bulging.
3. Vulcanization of Battery Plate
If the plate of the battery is vulcanized, the cell voltage and the electrolyte temperature will rise rapidly during the charging process, and the bubbles will occur earlier and react violently. At this time, it is very simple to cause the battery to bulge.
4. Too long time for starting motor in succession
When starting the motor, the accumulator must provide a large current to the motor in a very short time, and the large starting current will inevitably cause the intense chemical reaction inside the accumulator, and will accompany the gas attack. When the starting motor is used too long in succession, it will aggravate the gas attack, which will increase the battery rise. Probability of fissure.
5. Insufficient welding between inner plate ear and pole and confluence row of accumulator
When the ear and pole of the inner plate of the battery are not soldered well with the confluence row, if the high current is discharged, the welding place will be ignited and ablated because of the too fine touch point or poor touch, which will present sparks, ignite the hydrogen-oxygen mixture of the battery, and then lead to the battery explosion.
6. Excessive viscosity of electrolyte
If the electrolyte viscosity is large, it will simply lead to slow entry into the plate pore and increase the internal resistance, so that the voltage drop consumed on the internal resistance will increase. This will cause the electrolyte temperature to rise rapidly, and generate a lot of gas, then make the gas pressure inside the battery increase, leading to the battery bulge.
7. Too little electrolyte
Trust you all know that the battery will lead to electrolyte reduction after a period of time, at this moment need to add electrolyte or distilled water. When the electrolyte is cut down and overcharged, the phenomenon of battery bulging will occur, and even lead to explosion.
8. Charger damage
When the charger or the generator on the engine is damaged, its current or voltage may change from big to small, which simply leads to a violent reaction in the battery, and then a lot of gas, which leads to the battery bulging.
How to Prevent Battery Bulging
1. Manipulate voltage and current. As mentioned above, excessive voltage or current simply causes the battery to bulge, so it is necessary to control the voltage and current well.
2. Manipulate the charging time as far as possible, so as not to make the charging time too long and avoid overcharging.
3. Choose a better charger or check the generator on the engine frequently. Once problems are found, repair or replace it in time to avoid the battery bulging.
4. In the charging process, we should ensure that the connection points are strong, because if the connection points are loose, sparks will occur, which causes hidden dangers for battery bulging.
5. Ventilation holes are guaranteed to be dredged in time. In the usual maintenance, clean up the impurities around the battery in time.
6. Check whether there are cracks in the battery shell and whether the electrolyte is leaking in advance. Because once the electrolyte leaks, it may be soaked into the cable or circuit, and then cause the phenomenon of connecting electricity, sparks.
7. Clean up the short circuit inside the battery and the vulcanization of the plate in time. The short circuit inside the battery will spark, and then detonate the mixture of hydrogen and oxygen, while the vulcanization of the electrode plate will cause a lot of gas in the battery. Therefore, we should always check whether the battery is short-circuited or vulcanized in time.
8. It is forbidden to fire on the positive and negative poles of batteries with metal objects such as cables, which can cause explosion of hydrogen and oxygen gas with heavy air, and even endanger personal safety.
9. The flammable gases in the battery should be cleaned up first when overhauling the electrical equipment, because sparks will inevitably occur when overhauling the electrical equipment or lead to a larger current outbreak of the battery, which is also a major potential safety hazard.
10. Check the quantity and density of electrolyte in time. This will protect the battery to a large extent and avoid battery bulging.
11. When starting an engine, try to avoid starting continuously for a long time.
There are three causes of blasting:
1. Blasting of Battery Shell Caused by High Internal Pressure of Battery
According to the operation principle of lead-acid batteries, it is known that during the charging process, especially in the late charging period, water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen due to excessive charging. Short circuit, severe sulfurization and sharp rise of electrolyte temperature during charging will cause much evaporation of water. At this time, if the vent hole of the liquid hole cover is blocked, because there is too much gas, it will not be able to evaporate. And overflow, the internal pressure of the battery will rise very high, which first causes the deformation of the battery tank. When the internal pressure reaches a certain level, it will burst from the junction of the battery cover or other weak points. This is a physical process. When the internal pressure of the battery is higher than 0.25 MPa, the battery bursts, and the burst position is located at the joint of hot air or the corner of stress concentration.
2. Battery Blasting of Hydrogen in Open Fire
The explosion limit of mixed gases of H2 and O2 is 4%-96% of the volume of mixed gases, H2 and O2
